10 hair styles worth trying

Is there anyone who didn’t color their hair this year? I am sure we all did. Colored or not I have list of cool hair styles that I tried this year and you should too.

1.Pearls

Pearl is in from hair clips to head bands. It is everywhere but I created a look adding pearl on my hair.

2. Colored thread

I will let the picture speak here. But make it as colorful as possible.

3. Dhago

I am a big rato dhago person. And now I even like the idea of wearing this traditional Nepalese dhago on casual outfits.

4. Scarf

Again scarf is in as top, as hair accessories and makes everything posh. So carry your scarf. Also perfect for all weather and climate.

5. Dead locks

Dead locks or may be toy locks in my case. These are so much fun. Completely changes your look. I mean is that me in this picture?

6. Mickey Mouse Bun

This makes you feel 10 years younger and that is why I am obsessed. It’s amazing to feel like a child and not think about bills.

7. Clip it

I can wear as many clips as possible and it still wouldn’t look too much. There is no such thing like too many clips. Just wear them, slay them.

8. 90s Iconic

Just find a dress with a shawl and wear it like a head band and voila you got the 90s vibes.

10. Bun

Just learn a hair bun. The easiest and the fastest one works just fine and don’t forget to add an extra clip, ribbon, scrunchie, or so. As we like to be extra.

10. Bucket hat

Say it’s overrated but bucket hat just steals the show as street wear. I will never stop wearing them. And specially with braids.

Hair Care for Colored Hair

I never knew coloring hair was this fun. It feels fresh to look at yourself in the mirror and styling colored hair is so fun because you already have that extra touch.

1. Wash your hair less

Was your hair less it’s important to let your hair moisturize with the natural oil. Use shampoo only on the scalp and make sure to use the shampoo that is sulphate free. Wash your hair at least  after a week you colored your hair.

2.Try not to color your hair from the roots.

Your roots are more prone to damage with all the hair dye chemicals and you don’t want that. So try not to color your roots. But if you opt to to do so make sure you haven’t washed your roots for a week. The natural oil in the scalp will protect excessive root damage.

3. Protection from sun and Chemicals

Don’t expose your hair to sun for too long. And protect your hair from chlorine in the pools and salt in the sea. Also do not put on other excess chemicals as your hair is already dry and will absorb them all.

4. Moisture your hair

Keep moisturizing your hair. Aloe vera is something I swear by. It’s so gentle on your hair smoothens it and it’s definitely better than hour long oil therapy. Also you can DIY hair mask to replenish the moisture lost.

5. Use Cold water And use wet brush

The cold water will help maintain the texture of your hair and the wet brush will be smooth as you brush through you hair. Making your hair color not of a task but something you can flex.

Photo shoot ideas at home Part 2

With the lockdown extended further I can imagine how bored we all are. Well boredom can’t explain what we are going through, it’s a lot. And now I have also come up with the extended part of my previous post.

1. Faces

What’s your favorite emoji? Do you have any picture of you in that emotion? If not you need a selfie, so that you can possibly send that picture when you want to portray how you feel.

2. Background

It just makes so much difference. Just make background of literally anything, scarf, bed sheet, or a piece of clothing. Well here I made it out of a piece of black cloth. And it looked great.

3. Props

Just you and your poses are great but get that X-factor bringing props in your photo. It could be anything glitters, flowers, balloons. Just anything.

4. Fairy lights

5. Bed

Lie on your bed. Strike a pose. Take selfie stick. Click a picture. It’s that easy.

5. Bindis

Bindis not just look great between your brows but everywhere around your face. Just make your own pattern and see how it changes your looks.

10 life skills to learn before college

No matter how ready you think you are for college. There are few things you will miss out because expectations are far from the reality. I felt I was so ready for it but then because of the series of events that I had to deal with always made me realize how wrong I was.

1. Confidence

Don’t ever give up your confidence. Don’t ever doubt your instincts. There definitely is so much for you to learn from this journey but always trust yourself before anyone. It’s your confidence that will keep you together in everything that is to come that shall try to shatter you again and again.

2. Consistency

Try to be consistent. Make a routine and stick to it. Consistency is king and will certainly win in a long run. It’s boring, tiring and irritating at times but you will thank yourself at the end for sticking to it. And in the process don’t forget to relax, take a break and enjoy in the between to motivate yourself .

3. Sewing

You don’t need to master this skill. Just be capable of repairing your torn clothes, fix a button, and all. So that you don’t land yourself to an emergency. And it’s one of a life skill you will utilize not just in college but throughout life.

4. Laundry, Basic hygiene, Cleaning and Grooming

These are the basic life skills and it’s going to matter a lot if you can’t do all of these on your own. These are some personal skill you need to know if you want to balance you life in the college. There can be people to help you at times but make sure you can do that on your own independently.

5. Nutrition

What you eat shows in your performance, so make sure that your food is completely nutritional. Find a balance food style according to your body. This is something I struggled in and I want you to make sure that what you eat is not just to sustain but equally nutritional.

6. Personality

Be a good person in general. Being you and genuine is the best initiative. Never change for who you are just because the environment isn’t right. Help people whenever you can, hang out with you friends,  reach out and be there. And always be honest with yourself and all the relationships you build up in college without expecting the same in return.

7. Accountable

Be accountable of everything you do. Accept, explain, understand, forgive, and move on. Be the bigger person. Try to be as polite as possible. It’s okay to keep things just to yourself. It’s okay to be just by yourself. It’s okay to cancel plans, It’s okay to be misunderstood, It’s okay.

8. Finance

Everything you do in the college shall reflect your future. So do the boss move and keep track of your finance. Open your accounts and start saving. Make goals on what you want to do with it so you are always motivated to save more than spent.

9. Grow a plant

Learn to do something that would satisfy your inner self. It could be anything in the world. For me it is growing a plant for now. It keeps changing and that is totally fine. Just find an activity other than just studying. It could be even writing a blog like this.

10. Keep in Touch

While balancing the college life don’t forget to keep in touch with people who matter to you back home. Talk to them, share your experience, listen and laugh with them. Trust me it works as a therapy.

2. Washroom

Believe it washroom have great lightening then any other room in the house. It’s the best place to take pictures. Try it you will never get over it.

3. Shadow

Take pictures with the shadow of the doors or windows at the home. It gives such an artistic flavor to your pictures.

4. Garden

Just lay down in the garden with your hair open and she how photogenic you would turn into. It’s one of the most trending way of taking pictures and can be done at home only.

5. Sky

Go to the terrace and take a picture with the sky. It is the best background you can ever find and you don’t have to worry about the lightening.

 2. Make souvenirs for your friends and family who you are not able meet during this time period. It could be anything like Earrings, Bracelet, Key rings, Scrunchies, something they would like. Or just write them a letter, I would feel so special if I received a letter.

3.Sit down with a pencil and paper and write down everything you would like to do if there was enough time and try accomplishing it, if it is possible to do so inside the house.

4.Write mail back to all your international friends about the current situation and exchange knowledge, courage and sympathy as we are all in this together.
